Jesus’ Words in Red
Born From Above
There is a D. N. A. structure difference
When God created man He breathed into him and he became a living
being
Since that time every person needs the air on this earth to live
You take away the air and the body dies
God again is breathing into man, it is His Spirit
It is that breath of God’s Spirit living in us that changes our
direction
Those who are “led” by the Spirit are sons of God
The one born of the Spirit will live forever
Born From Above
When Jesus said…
“You
must be born again”
The word “again” in the Greek is
more accurately interrupted…
“Anew
or from above”
“You
must be born from above”
In verse 6 Jesus says…
What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh
[of the physical is physical];
and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Being born again or from above
is to be born of the Spirit.
There is a D. N. A. structure difference.
When God created man He breathed
into him and he became a living being.
Since that time every person
needs the air on this earth to live.
You take away the air and the
spirit of that person leaves the body.
God again is breathing
into man, it is His Spirit.
It is that breath of God’s Spirit living
in us that changes our direction.
Those who are “led” by
the Spirit are sons of God.
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but
you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." 16 The Spirit himself testifies
with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we
are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his
sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Romans
8:14-17 NIV
Galatians 5:16 NIV tells us…
So I say, live by the
Spirit, and you will
not gratify the
desires of the sinful nature.
Being Born of the Spirit changes everything
because the person born of the flesh
lives to satisfy the desires of the flesh.
The person born of the Spirit lives
to satisfy the desires of the Spirit.
People born of the Spirit are not
understood by those born of the flesh.
Those born of the flesh do not know where
those born of the Spirit are coming from.
The reason is this wind or breath
of the Spirit comes from Heaven.
The wind or breath of the Spirit comes
from an “eternal view” not a temporary view.
The wind blows (breathes) where it wills;
and though you hear its sound, yet you neither
know where it comes from nor where it is going.
So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. V. 8
Jesus in John 3:12 says…
“I tell you of heavenly
things”
Jesus says…
“no one has ever gone up to heaven,
but there is One Who has come down from heaven
— the Son of Man”
Jesus makes the point that He is the only one
with the answers to being born from above.
Jesus foretells of the cross experience
that will confirm He is from heaven.
Then Jesus makes the point…
15 In order that everyone who believes in Him
[who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him]
may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live
forever!
Eternal life, living forever, is for
everyone who is born of the Spirit.
When the breath of this life is knocked
out of us, the one born of the Spirit will
still have breath that will lead them to heaven.
Are you born and led by the Spirit?
If so how has your life changed?
Scripture Reading
John 3:3-15 AMP
3 Jesus answered him, I assure you,
most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from
above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the
kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is
old? Can he enter his mother's womb again and be born?
5 Jesus answered, I assure you, most
solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [even] the Spirit, he
cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. [Ezek 36:25-27.]
6 What is born of [from] the flesh
is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is
spirit.
7 Marvel not [do not be surprised,
astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above).
8 The wind blows (breathes) where it
wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from
nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered by asking, How can all this be
possible?
10 Jesus replied, Are you the
teacher of Israel, and yet do not know nor understand these things? [Are they
strange to you?]
11 I assure you, most solemnly I
tell you, We speak only of what we know [we know absolutely what we are talking
about]; we have actually seen what we are testifying to [we were eyewitnesses
of it]. And still you do not receive our testimony [you reject and refuse our
evidence — that of Myself and of all those who are born of the Spirit].
12 If I have told you of things that
happen right here on the earth and yet none of you believes Me, how can you believe
(trust Me, adhere to Me, rely on Me) if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And yet no one has ever gone up
to heaven, but there is One Who has come down from heaven — the Son of Man
[Himself],Who is (dwells, has His home) in heaven.
14 And just as Moses lifted up the
serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of
Man be lifted up [on the cross], [Num 21:9.]
15 In order that everyone who
believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] maynot perish,
but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!
