Calling Make It Clear

Calling
Make It Clear

The Bible is full of mysteries
The Old Testament priest
They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. Hebrews 8:5
Law is one way to keep order but the law was to reveal
The glory of divine order and the good God has for us
The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming
— not the realities themselves. Hebrews 10:1
Although Jesus spoke in parables it was not to keep people in the dark
But to help the seeker see the realities of heaven
His disciples asked him what this parable meant. He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables. Luke 8:9-10
Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and
make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
Habakkuk 2:2-3
Our calling is not to memorize and quote scripture
Our calling is to make the types, shadows and revelations of the Kingdom of God CLEAR

Make It Clear

The Bible is full of mysteries.

The Old Testament priest…

They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy
and shadow of what is in heaven.
Hebrews 8:5

Law is one way to keep order.

But the law was to reveal the glory of
divine order and the good God has for us.

The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming
 — not the realities themselves.
Hebrews 10:1

Although Jesus spoke in parables, it was
not to keep people in the dark, but to
help the seeker see the realities of heaven…

His disciples asked him what this parable meant. He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "'though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.'
Luke 8:9-10

Habakkuk was an Old Testament prophet.

The Book of Habakkuk tells his story.

Habakkuk gives us many scriptures
you and I would recognize like…

But the righteous will live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4

Paul in Romans 1:17 quotes Habakkuk…

For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed,
a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,
 just as it is written:
"The righteous will live by faith."

Both are saying…

Faith is not a one-time experience,
but our justification comes as we
live by faith from first to last.

That is why Jesus is recorded three
times in the Gospels as saying…

But he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Matthew 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13

Habakkuk was disturbed by the sin and
injustice and, like us, wants to know why
God is not doing anything about it.

But God tells him He will do something
and then Habakkuk is upset and
says that the judgment is too hard.

So what God calls Habakkuk to do is the
same thing you and I are called to do…

Then the LORD replied:
"Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald may run with it.
For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it will certainly come and will not delay.
Habakkuk 2:2-3

Our calling is not to memorize and quote scripture.

Our calling is to make the types
and shadows, the revelations, CLEAR.

Jesus had only one message…

It was the message of the Kingdom of Heaven.

That is what He preached from beginning to end.
Matthew 4:17; Acts 1:3

You and I are called to make
the message of the Bible clear.

We are to reveal the image of heaven,
the authority and love of God.

We are to open the eyes of the blind,
to help people see beyond the temporary world
and see the eternal life of heaven.

Habakkuk stood on top of the wall
to see what God would do.

But God told him to write the revelation down,
make it clear and place it where the people could see it.

Our Calling is to make the revelation clear.

It needs to be clear to us before
we can make it clear to others.

Good preachers know how to take spiritual
truth and make it relatable to others.

None of us have seen heaven without the
eyes of faith and that faith comes as the
WORD of GOD is relatable to us.

The second thing we are to do once
we make clear the message…

We are to run with it.

Take the revelation of the Kingdom of God to people.

The third thing we see from Habakkuk is…

 “Timing”

Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

He also said…

"I tell you the truth,
some who are standing here will
not taste death before they see the
Kingdom of God come with power."
Mark 9:1

We will taste in our life time the
power of the Kingdom of God.

But that glory is not the end.

Learning to endure to the end and to help others
wait on God is a very important part of our calling.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:
With the Lord a day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,
as some understand slowness.
He is patient with you,
not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:8-9

Don’t get lost in the temporary.

 Write down the revelation,
the Call of God on your life.

Your life will change,
 Your situations will change.

Be sure your understanding of the revelation is
clear enough to see you through the changes in life.

Scripture Reading

Habakkuk 2:2-3

2 Then the LORD replied:

"Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it
