Calling The Worthy Life

Calling The Worthy Life

Ever feel unworthy?

…you didn’t feel you made enough money?
…you didn’t have experience?
…too young?
…too old?
…lacked education?
…grew up in the wrong neighborhood?
…feeling someone else was more qualified than you?

BEWARE!

These feelings can keep you from living a worthy life.

 Walk the talk (Ver 03)

The apostle Paul tells us to
live a life worthy of our divine calling.

You have heard it said walk the talk.

Talk can be real cheap.

We have all seen examples of people
who should practice what they preach.

Living a worthy life starts at our core.

We see 3 Keys found in the worthy life style:

·       Complete humility

·       Love for others with an emphasis on patience

·       Unity of the Spirit

Before you can have these keys in you,
you have to be secure.

You have to recognize God loves you.

You must recognize
He called you because He believes you
can fulfill your calling with His strength.
You and I have to accept that God sees us
worthy in order to live worthy.

My confidence level has been challenged
more times than I can count.

I knew what God wanted me to do but I did not feel
experienced, educated, or had the mental aptitude
as I faced the challenges of my calling.

Many times I had to say to myself,
“Self, you are called by God and
you can do all things
through Christ who strengthens you.

Sandy once said to me at a low point in my life,
“You need to realize who you are
and what God called you to do
and do it!!!”

WOW!!

Nothing like being straight forward,
but that is what I needed to get back on track.

Many of us do not feel worthy
of the calling God has given us.

But unless you believe it
and accept it
you will never walk in it.

Because many times you won’t feel it.

So embrace the fact
that God sees great potential in you!

Tomorrow we will look at
the three keys to living a worthy lifestyle.

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 4:1-4 NIV

4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then,
I urge you to live
a life worthy of the calling
you have received.

2 Be completely humble and gentle;
be patient,
bearing with one another in love.

3 Make every effort to keep
the unity of the Spirit
through the bond of peace.

Philippians 4:13 NIV

13 I can do everything
through Him
who gives me strength.
