“Hosanna,
Save Now”
Get ready for the two most powerful Sundays of the
Year.
The 8 day Week
Starting with the Triumphal Entry
and
Ending with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Attached is the devotional
and the scriptures for each day of these 8 days.
Each Gospel’s verses are laid out for you.
Join the crowd
and cry out to God for your need of Him.
“Hosanna, Save Now”
We are approaching the most important celebration
for the follower of Christ.
This Sunday,
we celebration Christ’s Triumphal Entry.
The next Sunday,
the Resurrection of Christ.
And the powerful events in between.
The prophet Zechariah prophesied that the Messiah
the delivering King would come.
The King would come GENTLE and riding a colt of a
donkey.
The word in the Greek is “praus”
which means meek or humble.
Don’t under estimate the power of meekness.
Moses was a meek man. Numbers
12:3 NIV
“Now Moses was a very humble man (meek),
more humble than anyone else on the face
of the earth.”
Jesus said, “the
Meek shall inherit the earth.”
Matthew 5:5 also see Psalms 37:11
Meekness is not weakness.
Jesus is King and as He humbly road into Jerusalem,
as the crowd
shouted, “Hosanna”
Hosanna means “Save”
The crowd was crying save now, save now.
In John’s account,
we see that their cry for salvation
turned into a shout of praise.
Today, we need to be saved.
Our world, and even your life and mine,
needs more of the rule and reign of Christ.
Can I challenge you to cry out to God again!
Cry out Hosanna!
Hosanna! Save now! Save now!
Ask God to come into your life and church,
in a powerful way these next two Sundays.
I am not against church programs to help people.
But a touch from Jesus can change a person in minutes.
We need more of God!
Pray He humbly comes riding into your life and your
church
with such power that every life will be changed!
I am not talking about good worship and a good message.
I am talking about a visitation from the Lord!
Let’s get ready to celebrate the 8 day week.
Scripture Reading
Matthew 21:1-11 NIV
21:1 As they approached Jerusalem
and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives,
Jesus sent two disciples,
2 saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of
you,
and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with
her colt by her.
Untie them and bring them to me.
3 If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the
Lord needs them,
and he will send them right away."
4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through
the prophet:
5 "Say to the Daughter of Zion,
'See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'"
6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed
them.
7 They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their
cloaks on them,
and Jesus sat on them.
8 A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road,
while others cut branches from the trees and spread
them on the road.
9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that
followed shouted,
"Hosanna to the Son of David!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the
Lord!"
"Hosanna in the highest!"
10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem,
the whole city was stirred and asked, "Who is
this?"
11 The crowds answered,
"This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in
Galilee."
