"Every Kingdom Divided Against Itself Will be Ruined”
Satan’s Kingdom will not stand
Jesus’ goal was not to live a long successful life
Jesus’ goal was LOVE
Satan in killing Jesus, revealed the greatest demonstration of LOVE ever
Jesus was called evil
He was called bad
But those who know Him call Him LOVE, the purest form of GOOD
But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
The Kingdom of God came and those who called “Good”, “Evil” found
…the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation. Matthew 12:45
The Kingdom of Heaven is not divided, but it will divide
It will separate good from evil
Matthew
"Every Kingdom Divided Against Itself Will be Ruined”
Division ruins
Division falls
Division reduces
It is sad to say we all have experienced
the sadness and pain of division…
Maybe in the family or at work,
school or in the nation you live in.
People seeing Jesus casting out demons
began to wonder…
"Could this be the Son of David?"
Matthew 12:23
The King that would restore
the throne of David…
the People of God.
The Pharisees totally rejected Jesus and said…
"It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons,
that this fellow drives out demons."
Matthew 12:24
Jesus was accused of being the opposite of what He is.
His acts of Good…
His acts of Love…
Are being called evil.
Jesus is being called bad.
We have seen the flipping upside down
of right and wrong like never before
in our life time.
This is not a new problem…
Isaiah spoke of it.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:12
Timothy spoke of this problem.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted
2 Timothy 3:12
Suffering for doing good happened to Jesus
and will happen to those who do good as He did.
But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it,
this is commendable before God.
1 Peter 2:20
Jesus mades it very clear…
He has come to destroy the works of the devil.
John 3:8
Jesus came to bring division.
Jesus came to bring division
to the devil’s kingdom.
But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Matthew 12:28
Jesus made it very clear that
the good works He does,
needs to be kept good.
"When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
Matthew 12:43-45
Jesus did miracles so that we might continue
to build and care for what He restored.
When God does a miracle,
it is just the beginning…
We need to see our responsibility
to continue the work.
When God forgives, cleans and cleanses our lives…
We must fill it with the right things
so there is not room for evil.
The Pharisees wanted Jesus to do a miracle as proof.
But Jesus did miracles to give a fresh new start
in order to build His Kingdom through that miracle.
Every place Jesus did miracles
people needed to work at it
because the devil would return to reclaim
what was taken from him.
Do you want a miracle in your life?
Are you ready to defend it
when the enemy comes back.
Remember when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness
and Satan wanted a miracle.
Jesus did not give a sign to Satan.
When Satan left Jesus, the scriptures say…
When the devil had finished all this tempting,
he left him until an opportune time.
Luke 4:13
We cannot just want a better life
we need to be willing to live a better life.
The Kingdom of Heaven is not divided…
It is HOLY.
It is not compromised.
Jesus knows what Spirit led Him.
Jesus had nothing to do with evil.
Yet, many accused Him.
The devil did come back at a more opportune time.
After deceiving the Pharisees and many others
the devil came back to kill Him.
It would seem the devil won.
But Jesus demonstrated the most powerful tool for Good…
The tool of Love.
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosever believeth in Him might not parish but have everlasting life
John 3:16
When we are only looking for good in this life…
It becomes evil.
But looking for eternal good…
Will never be overcome by evil.
Don’t be divided.
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:32-34
Satan’s kingdom will not stand.
Jesus’ goal was not to live a long successful life.
Jesus’ goal was LOVE.
Satan in killing Jesus revealed
the greatest demonstration of LOVE ever.
Jesus was called evil.
He was called bad.
But those who know Him call Him…
LOVE
The purest form of GOOD.
But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
The Kingdom of God came
and those who called “Good”, “Evil” found…
…the final condition of that man is worse than the first.
That is how it will be with this wicked generation.
Matthew 12:45
The Kingdom of Heaven is not divided…
But it will divide.
It will separate good from evil.
Scripture Reading
Matthew 12:22-45 NIV
22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.
30 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you."
39 He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
43 "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
